Drawing Breath ( video ) is a binaural video created in collaboration with Michiko Theurer. The audio source is drawing on paper, manipulated using ChucK, a compilation of recorded gametrak processing and spatialization.

UCCA Human Footprint ( video ) is a dance film directed, shot, and edited by Richard Kuan. In 2018, UCCA, China’s leading contemporary art museum, commissioned 2Faced Dance Company to hold two days of workshops at UCCA Dune, a satellite art museum designed by Open Architecture that lies beneath the sand in the seaside enclave of Aranya in Beidaihe. Local residents from Beijing and Aranya learned a series of movements and choreography culminating in a site-specific performance at UCCA Dune. 2Faced’s dancers experimented with architecture and plastic materials to explore the different ways we mark and are marked by nature, but they improvised without any sound. My score was inspired by the dance’s preservation on film.

The Swan of Tuonela ( video ) is an animation created in collaboration with Salty Ng Xi Jie that draws upon the Finnish Kalevala myth of the birth of the moon as well as Pierrot’s timeless role, set to Sibelius’s mystical piece. A deletion of one’s creation as self-confrontation and acceptance of loss. The short film was nominated for Best Editing and Best Experimental at the Singapore Short Film Awards 2015, and won the Experimental category at the CUNY Asian American Film Festival.
